25 YEARS OF COL-ART 1993
For the “silver wedding anniversary” of COL-ART Marc assembles in Zurich some friends, who initiated with him the movement in 1968 (s. foto below). One recognizes Albert Willen (who will die a few years later) and Regula Hürlimann, who is assisting him, next to M.K. The german painter Elisabeth Kiehl (picture above) has drawn a large tree with humans for the front-page of our little publication GEMEINSAM.
COL-ART-DRAWINGS IN MOROCCO 1992
During a travel to Morocco with a group, organized by Col, Marc K. asks some children in a oasis, to make drawings on a paper. The result is astonishing: They all make spontaneously similar figures, as can be found in the Sahara on rocks, realized there hundreds and thousands of years before..!
THE ECLIPSE OF THE SUN 1991
In 1991 Marc Kuhn publishes in the COL-Edition his documentation SPUREN EINES LEBENS ( traces of a life) and an exhibition in Biel-Bienne in the “gallery of the city: KRONE”, also with some Col-Art-Works presented, finds an unexpected success !
During a travel to Mexico, organized by Ludwig Schoen, Toni & Marc Kuhn, 22 participants experience an incredible eclipse of the sun, exactly at the origin place of the oldest prehispanic culture of Mexico, that of the Olmecas….
A “NEW SYMBOL FOR COL” 1990
In 1990 Col-Workshops, -Events & -Travels happen in Biel-Bienne,-Bern, -Feldkirch, -München, -Geneva, -Aarau, -Hannover, in the Cantons Tessin & Graubünden, in Morocco & Mexico…
Marc K. is searching since a while a “typical symbol for Col”, and that drawing by him is the result…

In the house Sesslerstrasse 7 in swiss town Biel-Bienne the painter
Leo-Paul Robert realized in 1900 interesting wall-paintings in stile
“art nouveau”. With the years these walls got damaged, and so the decision was taken in 1988, to renovate the walls -with all respect to painter Robert- in a “Col-Art-Manner”: Marc K. completed the work,
together with Rolf von Felten, Heli, Ruth Kuhn & Myriam Bögli, in a
unique manner !
A “NATURE-COL-PICTURE” for “20 YEARS COL” 1987

THE BOOK “FINDE DEINEN WEG” (Find Your Way) 1986
In 1986 the german edition H.Bauer in Freiburg publishes the book FINDE DEINEN WEG (Find Your Way) , written by Marc Kuhn. It has 500 pages and encourages the lector, by all means to find his own way of living. What Col-Art suggests in the world of culture is described here, addressed first of all to each individual !
THE FIRST “GEMEINSAM” (together) 1985
In 1985 appears the first GEMEINSAM, a little regular publication, which will be in future THE bond between COL and its friends in Germany, Switzerland, Mexico, France, Austria and Italy…
Book So macht Leben Spass 1984
In 1984 the COL-Edition publishes its book TOGETHER (gemeinsam) and in the german edition BAUER the book of Marc Kuhn SO MACHT LEBEN SPASS (“that’s how life is fun !”) appears.
Both books correspond totally to the “spirit of Col-Art”…
“I FEEL POWERLESS” 1979
In 1979 Marc Kuhn publishes in German his book “I FEEL POWERLESS – THE RHYTHMIC BALANCE” in the Morzsinay-Edition in Bern ( 127 pages , many drawings) In this uncommon work he shows the wish of us all, to find luck and peace in community with others and the profound suffering of a lonely person.

For the german edition RAVENSBURGER four members of the COL-TEAM publish a book full of pleasant games, where fun and cooperation are important and not -as mostly- who wins or looses ! This book will have 11 editions and a large impact in scools and families…

Col-Art-Documentation “Was ist COL ?” 1974
In this book of 121 pages, Marc Kuhn assembles and reflects the “SEVEN FIRST YEARS OF COL”. He answers to questions like: -What is COL ! -Is it art ? A way of living ?, A game ? , Pedagogy ?, -Therapy ?….
One discovers in that book (written in German) the situation of the movement from 1968 to 1974, his concept, goals, difficulties and successes…

COL-ART-CITYPRINT HANNOVER 1973
Within three years (1971 – 1974) we realize Col-Art-City-Prints in -Zürich, -Biel-Bienne, -Cologne, -Bielefeld, -Salzburg, -New York, -Mexico City and Hannover: We make mostly the portrait of all kind of citizens, each of them draws personally a little contribution, signs and recieves at the end one of the prints…In Hannover 60 persons took part in the event and the HANNOVER PRESSE published our Col-Print in the frontpage of the journal !
COL-ART IN SALZBURG 1973
In august of 1973 we realize in the center of Salzburg not only a Col-Art-City-Print, but also a book with 96 pages, full of comments and drawings by citizens and tourists. The public reacts to questions like: -Please, make a drawing of your room, -Draw a symbol for Salzburg, -What are you doing just now in town ?, -What is the relation between Beer and Mozart-Chocolatebullets ?
COL-ART-DRAWING KASSEL 1972
With several artists, Marc Kuhn animates a “dialogue without words” and at the DOKUMENTA in Kassel , where german artist JOSEPH BEUYS is the head-attraction, Beuys and Kuhn realize during more than half-an-hour a drawing together, without talking. Like a dialogue one of the both is writing or drawing, then the other answers and so on. At the end of this memorable session, Beuys declares Col-Art an “important art-movement” !

-Kunsthalle Bielefeld, -Bochum, -Wuppertal, -Frankfurt, -Biel, -Zürich, -Bordei, -Vlotho, -Cologne, -Senne, -Paderborn, -Dullikon, -Petershagen, -Gütersloh, -Berlin, -Kassel, -Hannover, -Hamburg, -Bethel, -Castel of Grevenbroich, -Remscheid… A rich “Col-Year” !
In 1971 we participate in the event „L’art pour tous“ (art for all) in the Musée D’ART & HISTOIRE in Geneva, and one result ist this Col-Art-work, with about 15 participants. Concept: M.K. 60 / 90 cm colored pencil on cardboard . The museum of art & history of the city acquires 15 Col-Art-prints ! I also realize a written and drawed dialogue with genevian artist Gérald Ducimetière.
